Rev. Craig D. Otto - Pastor Otto has served at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lee's Summit since August of 2004. He grew up in the North Kansas City area and attended Oak Park High School. He received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Mizzou, then worked four years at Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis. He completed his Master of Divinity degree at Concordia Seminary, then served as Pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Missouri from 1995-2004. Craig and his wife Becky have two children, Emma and Vincent.
He enjoys photography, oil painting, hiking, running, biking on trails, reading, baseball and family time. He studies Scripture daily and loves the challenge of learning. He says he went into ministry to serve others, to be a daily follower of Jesus, and to point the way for others to know the Lord.
His confirmation verse: "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, first for the Jew and then for the Gentile," Romans 1:16.
Pastor Matthew Hardaway - Pastor Hardaway joined Saint Matthew as Pastor of Outreach and Family Ministry after graduating from Concordia Saint Louis in 2012. He, his wife Kristin and their oldest daughter are from Houston, Texas. Their youngest daughter was born in Saint Louis, but for all intents and purposes is a native Texan as well.
Pastor Hardaway enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family, music, outdoor activites, the Houston Astros and his old 1989 Chevrolet Suburban.
His passion for ministry is to motivate the body of Christ to share the love of Christ with the world - especially those who do not know His love.
One of his favorite Bible verses is John 3 :21, "But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."
